Ok, so I know I haven’t been really good about sharing some of my photos and artwork. I’m trying to change that. There are still a bajillion photos I need to upload from my trip to California. But here are a few of the ones I did take out there, with a little twist. Someone showed me this trick in Photoshop (to add texture) and IMMEDIATELY I was hooked. Yeah….I don’t know how I didn’t know this before. Oh well. Lemme know what you think.
This was taken in Sacramento, CA at one of the parks we went to. I love, love LOVE Sacramento!
This was at Yosemite. One of the most magnificent places I’ve even been. I plan to go back as soon as I can.
This was also taken at a park in Sacramento. I took this with a 50mm f/1.8, so yes, I was really close. And no, I didn’t get stung. It’s a miracle, really.
This is one of the first photos I took when I arrived in California. I miss it already.
So…there you have it. Some of my crazy creations. What do you think?

I love these Aubs! I’ve been dying to see your pic’s from the trip. When are you going to upload the rest to flickr? Hugs…
WOW – great work Aubrey. I love it.
Very nice! Love the texture you used in the one with the palm tree and sky, never seen anything like it before… looks kinda like rough-finished wood, or sort of textile too. Great pics! thanks for sharing them- would definitely like to see more
Your photos were beautiful! My husband climbed Half Dome in Yosemite many years ago. It took 2 days and they slept on a hammock off the side of the rock and carried their own water. I am afraid of Heights!
RowdyKittens – Thanks! I know…I really need to upload the rest of the photos. Soon…for real.
Aunt Phyllis – Thanks for taking a look! Also, thanks for taking us to Yosemite…it was AMAZING!!!
Michael-Ann – Thanks for stopping by! The texture on the palm tree and sky is my favorite.
You’re right, it’s rough wood. Good eye! Hopefully, I’ll get the courage to share more now.
Ellen – Wow…thank you! It’s amazing that your husband climbed Half Dome. That looks scary, but after seeing it, I want to get in shape and climb it too!
Great stuff Aubs. You should offer prints of these on your site!
Also you should check out some stock photography sites to sell and get some feedback of your best work!
